US Agenda on Oil Revealed
The Telegraph has reported that the actual situation of the world’s oil is far worse than previously anticipated. Worse than this, the misconceptions are a direct result of US pressure to stop the panic buying of oil.
This claim has been made by a senior official at the International Energy Agency (IEA), who has also stated that the rate of decline at existing oil fields has been underplayed, as well as the potential new reserves being overestimated.
“Many inside the organisation believe that maintaining oil supplies at even 90 million to 95 million barrels a day would be impossible but there are fears that panic could spread on the financial markets if the figures were brought down further,” the Guardian has quoted the whistle-blower as saying.
