Wood chips boilers
Wood chip boilers come in a wide range of sizes, right up to industrial devices capable of running a large district heating scheme. With your wood chip boiler you will need to have constructed a bespoke chip store, and careful planning and design of this will help minimise difficulties and expense in the long term. General purpose vehicles, such as tipper trucks, should be used to deliver the fuel.
Wood chip boilers are able to use different grades of fuel – from ‘green chips’ which are freshly harvested high moisture chips to high quality chips with low moisture content.
