Why Wood Chips?
Wood chips can represent a very low cost, low carbon option for larger buildings such as schools, hotels, leisure centres and businesses.
The amount of storage space required means wood chips are not suitable for domestic use, but woodchips are a great renewable fuel for commercial institutions.
Wood chips come in different specifications of moisture content and chip size.
About 1% of Wood Chip fuel ends up as ash.
Wood Chips are relatively dust free and can be bought in bulk deliveries.
Evergreen wood chips boilers can combust wood chips sized from 30 mm to 50 mm.
